The Autumn Escape

The Autumn Escape

Find splendid isolation cocooned amidst the rugged little island of Bryher this autumn...

There's a special quality to the light on Scilly in the autumn, and you'll have front row seats from Hell Bay's incredible location overlooking the western fringe of the island.

If there's one thing for certain, it's that the weather will be changeable; you could be strolling along sandy shores at sunset, or watching Atlantic rollers pound the cliffs that lend the hotel their name.

You'll find even fewer visitors than normal on Bryher at this beautiful time of year, so wherever you go you'll easily find a craggy clifftop or secluded cove to yourself. Satiate your hunger on an island circumnavigation with a cake stop at Olivia's Kitchen, enjoy delicious local seafood from Island Fish, or drop in for a warming hot chocolate at Fraggle Rock.

At the hotel, take a mindful moment with a yoga session in our dedicated studio space, relax in the lounge looking out across the Great Pool, or cosy down in your suite overlooking the garden or ocean. Or, for a day of indulgence, you can always hop on the boat to Tresco and enjoy access to the indoor pool and subtropical Abbey Garden.

Each evening, enjoy a three-course dinner in the Hell Bay restaurant - Scilly's only 3 AA rosette restaurant, where Head Chef Richard Kearsley and his team prepare the finest food on the islands using the freshest island produce.

Our four-night autumn break is available between 23rd October - 31st October 2020 from £695 per person including:

  • 4 night's accommodation at Hell Bay Hotel, Bryher
  • Full Hell Bay Breakfast each day, with continental and kitchen favourites

  • Access to the Tresco Island Spa indoor pool
  • Access to the Tresco Abbey Garden
