 In November 2010, the Sunday Times Travel Magazine declared Hell Bay Hotel to be one of the top 100 hotels in the world, one of only 12 hotels in the Uk and Irelandto be given this prestigious honour. The judges had picked up on the hotel’s “chic coastal vibe” , the colour-coded chicken coops from where the kids can pick up their own free-range breakfast eggs, the fine art, the laid-back style, the AA Three Rosette dining and unspoilt local beaches – all of which make Hell Bay Hotel the perfect island getaway. "Outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area. The cooking is underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgment of flavour combinations will consistently be excellent. These virtues tend to be supported by other elements, such as intuitive service and a well-chosen wine list. Around 10% of the restaurants/hotels within the AA Restaurant Guide have Three Rosettes and above."
