Facilities
Hell Bay is the highest rated hotel and restaurant on the Isles of Scilly, with three AA rosettes. Although the hotel has a friendly and informal atmosphere, we pride ourselves on our high service levels and attention to detail. We are here to help you make the most of your time with us, whether you spend your day within the hotel or opt for activities elsewhere on Bryher or on neighbouring islands.
Hotel and grounds
The hotel has a large bar and sitting room area and a restaurant. There is also a large terrace outside. Guests can enjoy the exclusive use of the yoga studio, a private heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. A spa treatment room offering a range of massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. The addition of the Multi Use Games Area for our guests and visitors to the island is a popular past time. You can hire the court by the hour and tennis racquets and balls are also available to hire. Besides tennis you can play football, netball and basketball on the court.
Suites and rooms
Every suite and room has at least one television set with access to satellite channels. All rooms have Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and fresh milk is delivered daily. Room service is available.
Bryher and surrounding islands
There is a whole range of activities available on Bryher and the other islands. We can organise water sports, jet boat rides, kayaking and snorkelling, and diving. Inter-island boat hopping is a popular pastimes: boat times are available at reception. We can also arrange private boat hires.
There is reasonable coverage on Scilly, O2 and Vodaphone are probably the best, but EE also gets coverage. There are areas around the hotel where no phone networks have signal, but generally if you find higher ground, you will register a signal. 3G and 4G is now able to be picked up around the islands.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome at Hell Bay; please just let us know when you make your reservations as it is only ground floor suites we can accommodate dogs in. We provide bowls, bed and blankets; there will be a charge of £17 per night for up to two dogs per suite. We understand that you maybe restricted by your weight allowance, so would recommend posting your dog food prior to arrival and we will store it for you.
